Patrick Campbell

Patrick Campbell reached the 2020 Olympic Marathon Trials while studying law at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. A Bradley University graduate from Wauwatosa, he qualified with a 2:18:51 at the 2019 Chicago Marathon. His Atlanta organizer profile treated admission to law school as his proudest accomplishment, giving equal weight to the academic path he was pursuing alongside running. [1]

His later racing retained a strong Wisconsin connection. Campbell won the 2024 Madison Marathon in an official 2:20:00, then ran 2:17:41 at Chicago in October 2025. The sequence connects a home-state marathon victory with a faster performance at the major where he had first earned his Trials qualifier, extending his competitive career beyond the original Atlanta build.
