The public ranking roster covers up to 200 men and 200 women by the recency-weighted best three of their last six marathons, with a recorded finish in the past 18 months. Retired athletes are excluded from current rankings. Coverage is incomplete and times are not adjusted for course difficulty. Annual lists separately order the roster by each athlete's fastest recorded time that year. Read the methodology.
