Qualification windows and chip timing
The marathon window opened September 1, 2025. USATF's announcement describes its close as 60 days before the Trials and specifies chip timing for qualifying performances. The current event page says the half-marathon window opens January 1, 2027. Consult the full procedures linked from USATF for exact deadlines and additional routes.
A time is not the whole qualification process
USATF requires qualifying performances from certified courses and sanctioned events, or accepted international equivalents. Its event requirements also address allowable course descent. All performances remain subject to verification. Review the event eligibility requirements before interpreting a result as eligible.
Additional routes and A standards
The complete qualification procedures cover additional routes beyond the marathon time standards. This summary does not evaluate an athlete's eligibility, certify a course, or reproduce every exception. Check the current procedures and qualifier lists linked from USATF's official event page.
How to use our rankings
Rankings help you follow performances and athlete form. Their rolling period, course treatment, and stored timing data differ from official qualification checks. They should not be used as a substitute for the official qualifier list.
